The Monday before Thanksgiving, we are shutting down the bridge on the 400 block of Main Street, inviting strangers and friends to gather and share a potluck meal in the middle of the street at one long table. There are no fees, no expectations, and no agenda - just an open invitation to all. Bring yourself, bring a dish, volunteer, or sponsor.

Description: Downtown merchants will transform Main Street into a holiday wonderland for residents and visitors to enjoy. Visitors can stroll the streets and vote for their favorite merchant display from December 1 through December 15 by visiting the City's Facebook page at City of Greenville Facebook. Contest winners will be announced December 19.

Poinsettia Christmas Parade

The City of Greenville sponsors Greenville's favorite tradition! For more than 75 years, the parade has signaled the start of the Christmas season in Greenville. Each year the parade attracts thousands of visitors downtown to view the holiday floats and activities. The parade starts on Main Street where it intersects with Augusta Street, and goes north on Main Street up to the intersection of Main and North Streets. There will be about 90 floats to enjoy!
