For four fun-filled days, Greenville becomes 'Greekville' as the magic of Greece comes to town! This 'Glendi' or party will begin on May 16th, 2019, with authentic Greek food served in the Church's Hellenic Center during lunch and dinner. Take-out orders for food and pastries will also be available throughout the weekend. Drive-thru lanes on Elford Street will also be available for take-out meals Thursday and Friday; and FAX orders will be accepted for lunch both Thursday and Friday. EVERY THURSDAY MARCH 21 - AUGUST 29, 2019 Piedmont Natural Gas Downtown Alive, presented by Clemson MBA, kicks off the weekend every Thursday night with music at NOMA Square on Main Street. More than 45,000 people attend this event annually. The event serves as the single largest fundraiser for the Metropolitan Arts Council. Piedmont Natural Gas Downtown Alive opens at 5:30 p.m. and closes at 8:30 p.m. Bands play two sets at 5:50 p.m. and 7:20 p.m. on the Harley-Davidson of Greenville Stage. Noises Off takes a look at the follies of theatre actors, whose susceptibility to out-of-control egos, memory loss, and passionate affairs turn every performance into a high-risk adventure. This play-within-a-play captures a touring theatre troupe’s production of “Nothing On” in three stages: dress rehearsal, the opening performance, and a performance towards the end of a debilitating run. Progressing from flubbed lines and missed cues to friction among the cast in the final performance, Noises Off is brimming with slapstick comedy, falling trousers, and of course—flying sardines!
